disgusting forward structure,only won 9 of 12 games.as long as those hopeless forwards kick a winning score by any means,who cares

Would like to see someone take LRT's spot even tho i think he gives 100% each week, i think TDL might of been able to manufacture a goal when we were struggling so bad for a score.

But honestly we are winning and beating top 8 sides which we didnt do last year so, no real complaints here.

I'd have thought that winning the last two games despite getting smashed in inside 50s says our forward structure is highly efficient. and if there's a problem it's in the midfield. Against Essendon we lost I-50s by an amazing 50-78. Against Geelong 47-59.

Agree, Goodes will straighten the attack, take focus off Reid and Parker will free Jude and Benny to play across HF

Person rang into SEN and said that the Swans had gone from 53% goal kicking efficiency in 2011 to 67% in 2012. We are kicking 3 more goals per game. Said we are practising our goal kicking a lot more and using some type of system. I didn't quite catch the gist of it but it appears to revolve around set up.

As they say, if you kick a higher score than the opposition you win the game. There has been so much talk over recent times about goal kicking accuracy and how it isn't any better than previous eras. Guess what; one club appears to be getting it right.

Nico, I like those stats. nice work! I'd still like to see what our conversion rate is like from outside 40 metres. Good shots on goal now include Jetta, Kennedy, Jack, Bolton, and Bird. They seem to all have improved and kicked some brilliant goals. Certainly makes a difference.

I think the really interesting thing is that our forward structure has had a true small forward for only 5 games (TDL). Jetta is small and kicking goals, but not (IMHO) playing as small forward as per the Carlton/Collingwood model.

The Swans coaches seem to be content to pick some Talls, and then expect the midfield to 'rest' and 'rotate' and/or 'rush forward' to achieve scoreboard results.

What was the forward power in the North teams of the Longmire and Carey era?
