Match Day Thread - Swans vs Lions

Grey and cold day. Hopefully it won't rain.

Top spot on the ladder is up for the taking!

It's already raining here sporadically but very lightly.

No Eski in the reserves team. Injured? Or late change for senior team? Given the conditions a small for a tall would make sense.

We'll really have to earn the win today. The Lions are running hot. Plus it's looking like upset round - North 3 goals up over Eagles.

Im really worried about this game, the lions have looked great in recent times. To me this is as big a game as we will play in the home and away this year. The fact the pies lost last night really means this is close to an 8 point game for us.Win this and i think we definately finish top 4.Lose it and who knows,we have a pretty hard draw going forward and its really 50/50.

        edit-looked at wrong scores.

          Yes and no.

Eski's in but it's Mattner who's out with 'groin soreness'.

Interchange: Dan Hannebery, Andrejs Everitt, Mike Pyke. Substitute: Tony Armstrong
          Lions sub - Joshua Green

Armstrong the sub. Makes no sense to me. Is supposedly replacing a like for like, but gee replacing a close checking hard backman with a soft loose one!!!

            Malceski should be the sub.

I think the fact that Marty plays a third man up role in defense made the difference. Perhaps they believe Mal, with his experience, has a better understanding of when to leave his man and do the spoiling job that Armstrong. Tony is unlucky, but you can understand what the coaches were thinking.
