You must be a Roosters supporter too! Good thing I like the Swannies so much more......

Roos won our first premiership in seven decades with a team which was very much not the most talented in the competition. Hard to top.

I think Horse would have to do something ridiculous like go a three-peat to top Roosy, especially since Roosy's groundwork and the succession plan is a part of our current situation.

I don't know if it's fair to compare them. You could say that each has influenced the other. or you could say that Andrew Ireland is the reason why for maintaining the culture that has created strong coaching departments that have allowed a smooth transition. There could be some back room systems or something that us club outsiders are not privy to that is the cause of our success. We don't know if Roos was privy to the succession plan - he may have just been told "this is what's happening" and in that case, how much of that is due to him?

Regardless I think they have both been excellent servants of the club, and any premiership would be welcome whoever delivers it in whatever way!

          Why even bother comparing them?

Anyway, back to a more familiar theme.

          The Adjudicator
on the Swans' perennial under-ratedness (new word!):
"I get the feeling the footy world will wake up the morning after the Swans have won the flag and finally declare them premiership contenders."
So true. The Swans perform well every week and never get in the news for illegal tackles or 'nightclub incidents'. The last 'scandal' we had was Hall and he got thrown out of the club.
The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible news

Got it in one Jono. After last night I don't know whether I want to slit my wrists or laugh. I settled for a media ban and have thrust all my attention on the Swans. Let's hope we win...

Roos is the man that changed coaching AFL wide to what it is today, Coaches give less sprays, give better feedback, treat players with respect. Brenton Sanderson on the couch last night said that he followed roosy's feedback method.

The ugly ducklings storyline and the apologies from the press on grand final day for having swans as the wooden spooners made 2005 a genuinely superb year.

If Longmire can create a dynasty(2 or more flags) he will be considers just as good as roosy.
