I've heard from a Blues insider that negotiations for Mick and Cloke started more than a month ago and were all agreed a few weeks ago. And yes, the Pies going out in straight sets under Nafan, and Mick and Travis in navy blue could cause Eddie to simply explode. And, despite the Eagles being a very talented team I think, with lots of wishful thinking, that the Eagles maybe can win against the Pies and may be an easier game to get us to the GF. Then just gotta beat the Hawks and it's party time!!

Maybe there's quite a lot of wishful thinking in the above paragraph . . . .

I haven't seen a Swans win over the pies live since pluggers 1300th. I'm fed up of them losing at ANZ too.

After this years clash I said I won't be going to a pies v swans Anz clash till we at least win one.

      Can't miss the p/f though.

Pies make me nervous and I think we are the best contender for the hawks.

Hope it's a draw at full time and they have to au extra 20 minutes really belt the daylights out of each other - they will be buggered for next week who ever it is. I know it's not nice- but niceties go out the window at the pointy end of the season!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Great idea! A few suspensions wouldn't go astray either.

Win or lose in the GF to Hawthorne, I am sure we will be very competitive. It's no great shame to lose to a great team like Hawthorne. But the way we keep losing to Collingwood is an embarrassment. More than anything, I want to flog the Pies in the PF. That would make the season for me.

We can beat either of the Pies, the Eagles, the Crows and the Hawks. Yes we can.

Will then be an enormous task for WCoast to travel again to Sydney, and to be honest if they can win on the road again, 6 days later.... Very much doubt it.
Yes look what happened to Freo last night. They just ran out of legs in the last half last night. I too think we will play the Eagles as they have far more options than Pies. Maxwell is a big out for Pies.

I think we should we should have beaten Pies at ANZ last time we played them. We were the better side but couldn't convert. Malthouse is wrong we had them last time we just couldn't put them away because of bad kicking.

I think we are in such an amazing position and it only took last weeks game to take most of us from being doubting Thomas's & Thomasina's to thinking " yeah bring it on, we can do this !" doesn't stop the nerves or getting out the collection of hawks, pies, crows & eagles voodoo dolls and giving them all a right old stab though!!!????

To beat the Eagles the Pies would have to increase their defensive efforts in the midfield and restrict fwd entries, not something the Pies are renowned for. Right now I find it hard to see the Pies winning, it would take for the Pies to deny them the ball at all costs and I just can't see it

Don't laugh at me but I really did try the voodoo doll thing - put picture of Geelong club emblem on a voodoo doll ( given to me as a present) and stabbed furiously the week of round 23 and we all know how well that worked out. Come to think of it the result was a week late so maybe I need to change to Hawthorn emblem and start stabbing now so it has it's effect for the grand final.

                              Do it.

In my ideal scenario we'd beat the Pies next week (would be sweeter and will mean a bigger crowd) but I think my nerves would be more controllable in the lead-up if we play the Eagles.

I have put some money on Collingwood winning tonight so I guess that means I think they'll win.

Nice to be able to sit back and watch two teams battle and (hopefully) slog it out till the end ... a couple of hamstring strains to the winner please.
