    Willo on Marn Grook

Anybody catch Willo on Marn Grook last night?

His love of the Swans was out there for all to see and it surprised me somewhat.

In a nutshell he said he has now been at 5 clubs in his career as a player and assistant coach and seen how they all operate at an intimate level and Sydney just has something that the others don't. He was full of praise for Stewy Maxfield and Roosy for the 'bloods' ethos.

Worth a look if you get a chance...

Should be on iView - try this, and it looks as though the program is there to replay.

...nope, Willo didn't make those highlights...I'll keep looking.

...It's available as a torrent from a well known location.

Going to the game with a mate from the ABC, I'll ask him why Marn Grook isn't on iView.

Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and he'll be shoeless.

I'd have been reasonably confident he'd rank the Swans ahead of Carlton and Mick Malthouse.

I rate Willow big time, always have. He and his wife did a great deal for this club on a level most wouldn't realise. Before Mrs Willow was on deck, the WAGs rarely came to the CC dinner. Mrs Willow changed that, happy to form dance groups with the girls while the guys did what they did, talk and drink. The next year more ladies joined in, and had fun. It was a pleasure to see evolve.

And I have always liked Willow's dry dry sense of humour. Wish we could get them back in town, but they are Melbournites and that is that.

It was a good segment of the Marngrook; did him and us proud.

True Primmy. Willo answering questions at Club Swans was always a riot. I remember setting him up with a question that would require him to say nice things about Matthew Nick's footy so he simple said "I don't answer bull@@@@@@ questions". And then someone asked him if he really was the same height as Bucky . . .

              Love Willo.

Hoping he can sort out the coaching problems (regarding contract with Carlton). Deserves all the success in the coaching arena!

He just sounded very intelligent. Clearly a very capable candidate for a senior coaching role.

Of course he'd praise Macca, he was his mentor. Just kidding thanks for bringing it across!
