    Thank you!

I'm a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans supporter of over 50 years and I just cannot believe what has happened to my club in the last 10 years. Used to be that the footballing community felt sorry for the Swans. They felt sorry for us because our club had relocated, we were harmless and and we were perennial losers. But since Roosy took over in late 2002, the attitude of people who don't barrack for the Swans has gradually turned, so much so that we are now the benchmark for every other club. Everyone else respects us! They RESPECT us! People from other clubs are actually in awe of the Swans!

For 48 years of my life, I got used to the idea that my club had only won 3 premierships and I even believed it would always be that way. Just can't believe that we now have 5!

To all who have turned this club around and made it a powerhouse of the AFL, I just cannot thank you enough!

Thats uncanny. I was only saying almost the identical thing to a friend last night. 1909. 1918. and for a long time 1933. Wow now 2005 and 2012.

Still pinching myself. I even had Hwaks supportes come up to me after the game and shake hands because they believe the Swans are one of the great clubs. Amazing.

        Great , innit ?

"For the people who waited seven years - here it is !"

I can't be alone in getting a bit annoyed reading about "only the Swans second flag in 79 years".
Melbourne media , please knock the "9" off that number !
        It'll STILL be a correct statement !
