    Pyke Number One

Mike is now the best contested mark in the AFL.

And didn't he make it look easy in a loosing side last week? 4 grabs as clean as you like and looking likely on a few other occasions.

I think the commentators said last night that N. Riewoldt was 1st and Pyke 2nd. Still a bloody good effort so far this year. Can only see more of an upwar slope for BT's favourite player.

Pyke is equal with Riewoldt on 19 Contested Marks.

He is also 5th on the hit outs list.

Gunning along! Mumford in the shade since the Prelim.

Imagine if he didn't do that quad against the dogs 2 years back just as he broke into the side and drilled that goal from outside 50 after the siren...

Brian Taylor, come on down you poor excuse for a footy commentator.

I really hate it when you watch a game and BT is commentating, has to be the bottom of the barrel. Never has anything incisive or intelligent to say. He must appeal to the lowest common denominator as no one I know rates him yet he seems popular in a Channel Nine Footy Show kinda way.

And a BIG woohoo to Mike Pyke for how far he has improved recently. If we have to tip out a ruckman to make way for Tippett, it won't be Pyke playing ressies!

I have a crazy prediction for later in the year. Pyke at full forward, Tippet and Mumford in the Ruck

Taylor is an absolute disgrace. Makes me start thinking about how else to spend three hours when I find out he is commentating. All that chummy banter with Richo, paying out on anyone in the crowd who looks remotely different from a fat white middle aged preek, all that big boy mcevoy BS and his side splitttingly funny barrel boy goal umpire depiction. get rid of the tosser.

At the other end of the evolutionary continuum we have Mike Pyke, whose application, presence and skill levels continue to appreciate exponentially. He's a ripper this one.
It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

I read yesterday in the Herald Sun that Martin Pyke was mentioned as AA contention for ruckman. So what hope does Mike Pyke have. Typical Victorian media - clueless!

Pyke is playing well, but what are his hitouts-to-advantage. We always seem to get killed in centre clearances.

Pyke = legend. Although he switched allegiance from the Canucks to the Maple Leafs today during Game 7!

How good was Kennelly's little kick to himself in the clip above btw?

                            Pyke Number One

Definitely must be in AA contention at this stage. Real cult hero, but becoming seriously good. Just hope we get a few more good years out of him yet, imagine him after another season or two at this level . He could be unstoppable

Why wait, assuming Mummy comes up for the Freo game move Pyke to full forward now, Reid could do with a helping hand down there...
