Some pretty strong lists there. Both teams trying to go out there and obliterate the other?

As far as I can work out, the following players have missed out from the squad for a non-injury related reason: X (but see Ugg's post above), Membrey, Perris, Dick.

Most of the other players not named are listed as absentees in the Swans article. Mitchell (P), Hewett and Biggs were all missing from the intra-club side, so are presumably still on modified programmes.

Membrey arguably has most cause to be disappointed / concerned, especially given that almost all our tall forwards who will be automatic senior inclusions once the real stuff gets underway are missing. This might have been a good opportunity for him to show what he's got.

GWS essentially full strength, Mohr, Gilham and Boyd the only likely round 1 starters missing (and only one of Mohr and Gilham would be likely, I reckon), plus maybe Zac Williams and Aidan Corr.

                      29 players listed.

Of course many can play in different positions, but their 'usual' roles would mean:

                      9 back 6
                      12 midfielders
                      3 rucks
                      5 forward 6

a pretty small forward line (resting rucks excluded) of Reid, Rohan Towers, B. Jack, and McGlynn

For what it's worth, as they are at near full strength, GWS should easily win this clash.

... And we know the Swans' attitude to pre-season encounters. Good odds for GWS.

Confucious say in preseason match one should always focus on the process, not the outcome.

ahh grasshopper but only when the GWS can take the black olive from the palm of a swans hand will the GWS team be truly ready for battle

I like the players in our list even with some of the stars missing

we have young guys busting to make an impression !
