    James Rose

I must confess that when his name was called out on draft day and i saw his video highlights i was not particularly impressed. However, from what i was reading on yesterday's twitter feed he had a blinder.
Can some of you ressie watchers fill us in on what you think of him and his potential?

Yes it sounded like rose had a terrific game yesterday. I took note of hawthorn playing some first gamers especially in their expected easy wins ( yesterday against Suns example ). I think we could be doing similar

They had one first gamer. So did we.

Haha. I guess I was thinking more about hawthorns repeated cycling of fringe players including first gamers. Maybe I'm wrong but it's my impression that hawthorn introduce more new players than us. I do of course realise we have played two new guys this year so far

I think Hawthorn have been forced to with injuries and suspensions etc. I see where you're coming from but the players they've brought in have hardly set the world on fire, I'd much prefer our crop of young guys to theirs.

Yes as this thread is about rose I don't want to derail it. I haven't seen him play live but I get the impression that he is quite skilful and shows a lot of promise

On the Swans site it says Rose set up lots of play and took a speckie. They also talked about Birdie (30), Hewett (34) & Towers (18 & 4 Goals). Abe Davis, Marsh and Aliir get good mentions too. Can't wait to see the highlights. According to the Swans site again, the rucks were all good with Naismith, derrickx & Nankervis dominating and giving us first use. This is the problem in the Seniors, Pykie can dominate but not give us first use, in other words the taps just go to feet.

If he stays in, he certainly gives versatility. Played forward, back and midfield Sunday probably out of necessity but did ok.

Anyone who can move , dodge, shimmy and weave through traffic like he can deserves extended time in the senior team.
                            Give it to him.
