Rotten pollution around this morning from back burning in the Blue Mountains but it's expected to clear later when the sea breeze makes it the western suburbs' problem again...

So that's what the smell is! I am a ten minute walk from the beaches, yet I can smell it inside with the windows closed, and its visibly hazy outside. Didn't seem like the season for actual bushfires...
It won't make things pleasant for the Swans and Giants reserves team playing in Blacktown in a short while.

Yup. It explains my hay fever symptoms too. Grumble grizzle.
Great to watch the last quarter of the 96 Prelim on Fox Footy very early this morning. So many great players. So many great plays. Maxfield's sublime 60 metre pass to easy as she goes Dale Lewis in the goal square. Paul Kelly's relentless ball hunting. Pluggers pass inboard to Cresswell to set up our last goal. Hell, even Hird looked pretty classy back then. Essendon had three guys in long sleeves that day, so really the result was never in doubt!
The last time that a Swan kicked ten goals or more in a match, was back in 1998, when Lockett kicked twelve against Port. I reckon there's a reasonable chance that'll change today.
Also, Gary Rohan doesn't seem to be running around in the reserves. I wonder if that's an injury, or if he's a late replacement for the firsts?
What's become of Aliir? Why didn't he play against the Suns at Blacktown?
All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)
Have to listen to the start of the game on radio because it overlaps on foxtel with the Geelong game which my brother is watching. I hate listening to games on the radio!!
Don't know why but I am feeling nervous about this game.
