4 finals losses in a row

Our reputation for being a a good finals team is officially gone. We must now earn it back.

When's the last time we came back and won a game after being more than 2-3 goals down?

The spirit of the likes of O'keefe and LRT has been solely missed the last 3 years.

    Unfortunately I must agree.

We don't play a finals brand of football anymore. It's 2014 all over again.

+ the swans "bigger bodies" in the midfield is a myth.

Hannebery, jack, Mitchell are Small. McVeigh is not big.

It's just Kennedy and to a lesser extent Parker. We've essentially replaced the likes of Goodes and O'keefe with midgets. we need some size in there.

Get McGlynn out of the team for a start.

Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and he'll be shoeless.

We really don't have anyone in the team that says 'that's enough, I'll lead and drag us back into this' like we did in the hey day of Kirk, O'Keefe, Bolton and the like. Kennedy did wonderfully well yesterday despite Stevie J's effort, but no one else tried to take the game by the scruff of the neck. that can be as simple as a few minutes of absolute desperation around the contest to life their teammates. Dare I say it (given the criticism from some of here of one of our captains in particular), but our leadership seems to be lacking when the going gets tough.

Jude was very physical and often wore opponents down, although he was never one to deliberately hurt anyone.

Yeah we need someone like the mummy. We haven't had someone like him since well, the mummy.

Last time we had a mummy like player (mummy ) we won the thing.

If you think stevie j was a little dirty yesterday, imagine him in a grand final.

But the irony of it Barry is that Mummy played very little part in that grand final win.....

Hawks and now GWS target us. Clubs with a bit of Mongrel will try it as well.

Check the title of this thread. Weve been favourite in 3 of them.

This looks like a pattern to me.

We were not favourites against Freo last year and against North we had half a team. Anybody who thought we were favourites yesterday was kidding themselves. The bookies have us at $1.45 next week which is the reverse of what it should be. We are an honest team that gets everything out of every match and when the finals come there may just not be another gear!
Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.

Its partly 'aura' or perception. Heard a commentator, who was a midfielder, speaking about playing against Nick Nat say that it it is almost impossible to tell where his tap is going to go, so the opposition mids are already on the back foot before the ball is bounced.
