Changes for R12 v Saints

What kind is that, a player who won't leave once he gets there? Suns have plenty of fringe players, they don't have a critical mass of above average/elite players. I fear that the GC experiment will never get off the ground floor.

There are two parts to the experiment. On field and off field. Between GC and GWS I would say gold coast marginally ahead on off field, GWS way ahead on on field. But onfield can be fixed. Off field is the fundamental on whether a team survives.

Cetainly remember it. I was there and it was a shocker of a game! I found out a few days after the game that an ex-work colleague - a St.Kilda fan - had a heart attack after going to that game and, unfortunately, passed away.

We've had a few dire games against the Saints. There was one to open the season one year, down at Etihad, or the Dome or whatever it was called then. And it was after a Saints game in the middle of 2005 that Demetriou declared that the Swans were awful and would never win a premiership playing the way they were.


There are a couple of very young looking Fox presenters featured at the end of that clip. Firstly Nick Dal Santo, looking about 15 (though actually 18). And then a junior Gerald Whately interviewing Thompson at the end.

I believe it was "Colonial" in those days. Loved the Jack Irish series.
