I noticed we used the opportunity last week to use some different exits from our back half especially in the 2nd qtr when the saints were trying to ramp up the pressure

That qtr was a little less macca dependant and a great insight into how we function with out a strong offensive post up player missing in the backline

    Hmmmm

Looking forward to this game massively

Yes, probably the thing that has impressed me the most about our backline exits this year, is the number of players doing the hard running, in order to provide options to whoever has the ball. It certainly makes it more efficient, when there are two or three players ready to receive a handball, than when there is one, and he's about to be shut down. All the backs have been good at this, but especially Jones, Cunningham, Lloyd and Rampe.

I'm very happy when we can manage to get the ball past the half-back line.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

At least we don't have Stevic.

Nichols and McInnerney togather are worse than Stevic alone. The three together should be signified by the dying Swan. I thought we had four umpires this week? They did last night and all they did was get in each other's way like the last time. four umpires is at least one too many. The less of the cheating bastards we have on the field the better (tongue in cheek).

Should be a ripper tonight and as much as I would love to see us win and win well I can't see it happening. We have a few players not playing that well, stand up Dan & Kizza. Paps has only just come good and Ronke is feeling his way at this stage. I would love Jordan Dawson to get some reserves time and come in the second game after the break. He got 21 first up and was a bit rusty but with four games he will be back to his top.

I thought Dan would be back to his best after four but he isn't anywhere near it. That makes me wonder if he is still carrying the injury and not saying anything? Or maybe match fitness is harder to get after his injury. This week is a big test for Dan as Lewis Jetta plays his first game for a while. They might actually line up on each other.

This game will be won in the midfield. Give away too much ball at the stoppages and you die. We need to make sure players like Shuey, Masten, Yeo & Redden are well and truly well held and beaten. George will go to Yeo.

I think the inclusion of Florent and Hayward's ability to run and provide an exit player has also been the difference. When Towers was there he also provided another option and worked hard. That is the thing they are working very hard. sometimes our players would make one lead and then the kick in player would just kick up the line. Now he kicks it in to a short lead and makes the play from there. If he is not free others get free. we also wait until a player is free enough to hit up.

I think our marking power has increased as Hayward, Ronke, Heens, Hewee, Psaps, Florent, Kennedy etc are all very good strong marks. One on one they are all very hard to beat. I was impressed with Ronke in the contested marking duels. He makes really good position and uses his body to keep his opponent off. You must remember most opponents are going to be bigger than him so he has to use his wiles.

Swans by 30. West Coast are not the team they are made out to be

Swans by 32, which should be enough to get ahead of them on percentage.
