    General footy chat Season's Greetings

    Dear All,

Just a quick note to pass on my best wishes for the festive season.

I enjoy this site so much, for all its fractiousness and the play of personalities. You are like the dramatis personae of some wonderful, sprawling Russian novel. Imagine the Christmas lunch if we all got together.

The recent posts about mental illness and the destinations of recently delisted players have been heartening—the regard being shown for champs like Hanners and Dean Towers was fantastic.

Take care over summer, and roll on 2019 (although not too quickly: I don't want to go back to work too soon). I reckon we'll do alright next year.

Malthouse reckons we're bottom 4. Anyway have a great Xmas everyone and keep safe.

Malthouse reckoned Carlton would win the flag when he was coaching them.

Hopeless commentator. Should give it away but still thinks he's important

          Forget Malthouse! An irrelevance.

Merry Christmas one and all! May you (and the Swannies!) have a great 2019.

            Second that motion!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

              Well said Stevo.

Thanks for making my 2018 season a little more enjoyable. Have a great Christmas everyone. Onwards and upwards for our Swannies in 2019!

And didn't he go a bit further, saying he couldn't foresee a game that Carlton would lose that season?

Anyway - back to O'Reilly Boy's original post - I, too would like to wish all RWOers a great Christmas and a wonderful 2019.

                GO THE MIGHTY BLOODS!

A large RWO Christmas dinner? Yes, that would be fun. Though instead of designated drivers, there may be a need for designated moderators. Then again, I'd probably back us in, to play well with the other children.

Anyway, wishing you all a fun Christmas and happy new year.

I'm generally not into the whole meet up thing for games etc, but I'd be up for a get together at the end of the year.
Maybe not Xmas day, but it could be a nice thing to organise.
I'd prolly make a trip to Sydney for it.
Been years since I've hung our wit RWO people.
2005 GF would be the last, of a few times I hit to footy with Des. (He was witness to my 'race to the centre bounce' after the game when I lost my footing and face planted )

                        Time to chill out.
Had 18 at our house for lunch. All went well, but glad it is over.

Hope you all had a pissy chrissy.
Cooked all day xmas eve, fed 30 on xmas day, then spent boxing day cleaning up.
So glad to be back at work playing on the internets.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
