Adam Kingsley, Scott Burns, Brett Ratten, Michael Voss, Jade Rawlings, John Barker

We need to play attacking footy, Ross Lyon has had a minor turnaround this year but he is still synonymous with boring defensive footy as is Horse

Everyone looks boring and defensive when you're losing. Our midfield is being pantsed and needs to improve drastically in contested ground balls where we lack agility and pace. Improvement needs to come with the young players on our list or through astute trading. Nothing totally defensive from Longmire when we made GFs in 2012, 2014 and 2016 and the other 2? Prelims.

        I STILL believe we're tanking.
Why would we tank? Who is our draft target? I don't want any more wooden spoons, I seen enough of them in the 70s and 90s. One crazy observation for the year. Naughton of the Bulldogs took 8 marks in F50. I noticed they rarely went to block or push him aside. However with Blakey they are constantly blocking him and pushing him aside. It's like they are really worried about this 18 year old. Very strange!

We will keep getting pantsed if they keep playing guys out of position
Put the young blokes in the middle and let them get their own ball like every other team does

Agreed Waswan- put Blakey on a wing and Mills and Heeney on the ball. But we need Cameron in the ruck as well to help Sinkers! How can he do it on his own?

They let Hewett just be a mid and look what happens he kills it.
Mills and Heeney are more talented i wonder if we just let them run in the midfield what would happen
They need to back in our guys instead of constantly trying to take away the other teams strengths

Heeney yes, Haywood yes, Florent yes, Stoddart can develop, Jones probably yes and Papley in bursts. Mills, no as he is a one paced much like Kennedy and Parker additionally he lacks awareness witnessed by the number of time he is being caught or giving off to someone under pressure. He may have been a star in junior football playing as a mid due to his skills being above the rest but is being found out now.

His best option is to become the Macca replacement in the backline by being the key link and distributor to the runners.

You may be right, however I would like to see him in the midfield for a prolonged period to see what he can or can't do.

Hewitt is a very good defensive midfielder in the kirk mold. negates but gets a lot if it. Unique and valuable player.
