General footy chat Tom Papley, Grandson of Guns

It was interesting, somewhat surprising, and very pleasing to hear Damien Barrett on "Access All Areas" (15 minutes in) say of Tom Papley that he's "very slowly creeping up on the entire competition as being elite".

I've seen some RWO-ers critical of his kicking at times, but the guy's courage and his giving of his absolute best for the team are priceless. Deservedly one of our leadership group, and great to see some broader acknowledgement outside the club.

Max Papley was freakishly talented but never got super fit. Didn't mind the rough stuff either, a la Tom.

If he can start nailing his set shots, he will become an elite player.
Probably the only part of his game that lets him down.

He's done some pretty amazing things in most games this year!!
