Where does the club stay when it stays at the WA hub and how long they will be there for the round 12 match?Comment

That's pretty well spaced. No complaints.Fixture for Rounds 9-12 has been released. There will be games every day of the week. No games in Sydney for us. We play GWS in Perth!
Round 9
Saturday August 1
Saints v Swans GABBA 5:10pm
Round 10
Thursday August 6
Collingwood v Swans Metricon 5:40pm
Round 11
Bye
Round 12
Thursday August 13
Swans v Giants Optus Stadium 6:10pm
They have to send opponents to WA for Freo & WC, but the opponents have to play each other first while they are quarantining. I think we can be fairly confident our Round 13 game will be v Freo. Then back to the SCG for Round 14, if circumstances permit. All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)

Because we are playing a fellow Sydney team ‘in quarantine’. (We are allowed to infect GWS [emoji3]).
But we would not be able to play Freo (or WCE) without being in Perth for 14 days ‘quarantine’.Comment
-
I can see how that would work, but I thought everyone going to WA still has to self isolate for 2 weeks?Comment

2020 Fixture (revamped)
It’s a rule that’s been ‘made up’ by WA health authorities specifically for the AFL. Collingwood and Geelong played each other under this ‘rule’ at Optus last weekend without having been in Perth for 14 days.
It’s based on the fact that the interstate clubs are in an isolated hub when in Perth, supposedly without contact with Western Australians. But they can’t play either Freo or WCE until they have served the 14-day quarantine period.Comment

The interstate teams self isolate in their hotels and training ground. There is a defined distance around the playing field, including the first 2 rows of the stadium seats. They don't have contact with the public for 2 weeks, starting from when they first reach Perth. I'm not sure what they do about food.Comment

Or cleaning their rooms. Or washing their sheets etc. Or driving the bus to the ground (assuming they have to use a bus).
But I suppose these contacts are very minimal risks.Comment

The room cleaning, sheet washing would be common to hotel quarantine all around Australia, so there should be set protocols for that ( hopefully not involving staff sourced from WhatsApp). The ushers/security at the ground wore masks and gloves, and changed gloves if ever they had to touch a ball. If the ball was considered a potential risk, they haven't covered crowd contact, but it would be fleeting.Comment
