His wife is due to give birth in August. He may want to go back for the birth as they also have a toddler. IF they give Sam a run, and Amartey a rest now, it gives Sam some game conditioning and has Amartey ready to go again.

In a similar vein, Hickey may leave as well as his wife is expecting twins and they also have a toddler at home.

The MC could be experimenting to prepare for one of these scenarios.

I think you'll find in season is better than in finals!! Besides, Covid has caused the issue not the births.

Only Blakey is a certain starter in the 22, the other three (plus medi sub) very much a lottery you'd reckon

Stephens, McLean and McDonald all named in Ressie's team. So that leaves your interchange plus medical sub. Interesting Armerty in neither team.

Last time we met in R10, Hickey got a PCL during the match and Blakey had to be the ruckman. Fox also injured his eye with Clarke sub in . Hope that we have better luck this time.
