Match Thread Match thread: Swans v Saints.

Slight surprise with Adams being named the sub, when I suspect many people would've thought that it'd be one of the two inclusions, Roberts or Fox.

Perhaps the key to this game is how well we can move it out of the centre, before they have a chance to set up their defensive structures. That and how unpredictable our ball movement can be, to get through their defence once it's set. If we can be reasonably effective, I doubt if they've the scoring power to trouble us.

I just saw Adams in the warm up wearing pants and realised he was the sub. Seems a strange choice as he is not your "typical" sub player.

Please can we not have a slow start today!

Not being able to hit a 2 meter handball is hurting is far.

          Oh no not again....

Last week, Freo kept Gulden quiet, and that was the difference in my opinion.

He looks up and about today so we should be OK

I'm starting to fear that we were May and June premiers and are starting to drop off... I can only pray there is something to explain it that we don't know, like a strong training block or something, but I fear that we are being hunted now by teams and are struggling to match them.

Today, after a loss, I was hoping for a statement win. It still might be, but early days it's looking much the same as last week.

            Please lift Swans!

Why are our skills so bad early? Is it the "perceived" pressure?

              Logan goal! Good confidence booster.

Our kicking going forward is terrible. We keep kicking straight to a saints player.

Freo played really well last week, let's not forget that. They have a great midfield and our boys were off and we almost won anyway.

Gulden is the key..I've already said that..If he is playing well and getting the ball, we're fine .

It's the game I feared so far. Hopefully an old-fashioned quarter time spray will fix it up

It's going to be one of those ugly saints games isn't it?

I'm frustrated with our disposal. Hopefully we can shake it off and get back to playing our way.

Saints pressure has been good. The radio said our pressure rating was down to 150, which was just like last week. It's really important we improve this.

No posts since quarter time so looks like the site was down. It was very slow when I last posted.

Watching live, we struggle when we can't get our uncontested game going. The saints forced us to kick long and that's not how we like to play.

We started to move the ball better towards the end of the quarter.
