What is a silver lining, is that whatever the result this weekend, we would hope to do even better in a home final vs Brisbane with Mills, Rowbottom and hopefully McInerney back in the side.

Great point. Our jobs is to have Mills fit and firing for prelim final weekend. Till then it’s all prep. The luxury of being three games and big % clear, you don't need to take risks, rest those needing the break and if we lose it doesn't really matter.
If we were in the bun fight for a place in the eight we'd be rolling the dice with sore players. This is Geelong 2022 vs Swans 2022 but now the places are reversed
And players can play with cheekbone injuries. Was it Leo Barry that played the prelim and grand final in 05 with some sort of cheekbone fracture? But as you say, we can afford right now to let Rowie heal properly.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Me too- he is defo worth persevering with. As for Wicks, he isn’t in our best 25 at this stage. He will need to earn his place back by excellent form in the maggoos. We all know his level and due to our ladder position we can afford to give some game time to others.Comment

I've heard pundits say this game should be on Friday night instead of Essendon v Adelaide. Unfortunately it is not feasible considering Brisbane would be coming off a 5 day break after the longest flight back from Perth.
If we do lose on Sunday, i can already hear pundits pointing out that we've lost 3 out of our last 4 games, despite being 2 games clear on top (assuming Carlton beats North).
After last night's Tribunal decision & team selections, i suspect Brisbane will drfit onto favouritism being at full strength.
I think JJ or even Adams may get tagging job on Neale. The other may also be assigned onto McCullage.
Would be our finest win this season imo if we do go home with the points, considering Brisbane's hot form over last 6 weeks. Go Bloods!!!Comment
