I read the article.
When I got to the end, I was thinking "who wrote this? this is the biggest load of speculative crap I've heard since Caro was on TF"
I was surprised to see it was Walls.
If, and it's a pretty big IF in my opinion, Gehrig leaves, it won't really affect us much at all.
A team who needs a full forward will pick him up.
Maybe the team who does, will have to get rid of a backman or midfielder to make room for him, and maybe we can pick them up...
No doubt players will leave the Saints at the end of the year, unless they pull a Brisbane and stick together, sacrificing some $$$ for the sake of a flag, but Gehrig would be unlikely the first on that list for sure...The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.
