Posting of media articles: Please read

Everybody should be aware that the RWO Forum Guidelines prohibits the posting of full articles on the messageboards. The guidelines can be found here. Section six is as follows:

    6) Due to potential issues of copyright infringement and the potential legal implications (see point 5 above), posting of complete articles is not permitted. Please post a link to the article. Where appropriate, you may quote sections of the article to aid in discussion.

Every time someone posts a media article on this website, RWO is potentially placed at risk of being sued. I'm confident that noone wants to see the site shut down, which would be the inevitable result of a law suit. As such, we must enforce this rule strictly in the best interests of the site.

Unfortunately, due to a recent increase in the number of articles being posted, we have had to adopt a new, less tolerant policy. All posters who post articles will now receive one final warning, of which they will be notified by private message. Subsequent breaches of the rule will result in temporary suspensions and eventually permanent bans will be applied. The penalties for posting articles are now as follows:

    1st article - final warning.

2nd article - three day suspension.

3rd article - five day suspension.

    4th article - permanent ban.

Obviously, we don't like having to wave the threat of suspensions at people, and thankfully we don't expect to have to actually suspend any accounts. We realise that every now and again, people simply forget, but there shouldn't be any reason for people to forget more than once.

    Thankyou for reading,
