Thread: National AFL Reserves competition

    National AFL Reserves competition

Both Adelaide clubs are lobbying hard for a national AFL Reserves competition. I would like to see it, but the cost would be enormous considering travel & accommodation expenses. Plus, need to take into consideration not all the players are full time professionals, having jobs.

It would be back to the future if it can be pulled off, having AFL reserves games before each senior match. Maybe even worth it's own TV rights (Fox Footy)?

The current Vic "VFL comp" clubs could then form their own local competition. Having it called the VFA (instead of VFL) would stir a bit of nostalgia.

Would be great if it happens and is played before each league game 👍

As a kid going to Watch East Freo Colts, Reserves and Leagues side each weekend with my uncles and cousins was a highlight. And if they televised the reserves prior to each league game 👍
