Rnd 17 Pre-Match Thread, vs St Kilda at Marvel 3:20 PM Sunday 7 July 2024

Not much to say, should win this game if against a struggling side.

If we lose, Fremantle and likely Collingwood are going to get closer to us on the ladder.

    Fox back in for Campbell?

Mills and Fox for Cunningham (injured) and Cleary.

Isn't Mills scheduled for the game against Norths?

Fox for Cunningham if his hammy isn't right and if it is Fox for BC (move to sub role)

just curious about peoples thoughts of trying to get Hamling a game or 2 as a forward or is that just being plain stupid? more I watch of him in the 2s the more Id like to see it (I do realise VFL football is worlds apart)

This thread should get interesting this week lol

IN 2022 when the Cats won the comp they rested players / managed injuries to be cherry ripe come finals

Is this a smart strategy for the Swans?

Is it already happening with Roberts and Cleary last two weeks?

Is this the game to rest another ?

Cats rested players in their 22, not subs that haven't played enough minutes.

Also Roberts is playing 2s not resting

I wouldn't bring Mills in for this game. Marvel has a hamstring history and if Mills has a suspect calf best to leave him out on the concrete surface.

Grundy looked absolutely spent. He's been huge for a few weeks but was run into the ground by Darcy and Jackson. I'd consider giving him a rest against St Kilda who don't have an A-grade ruck and bringing in Ladhams for 1 game.

Rowan Marshall is an A grade ruck
