Preferred way to win the Grand Final

If you could pick a way to win the Grand Final, what would it be?
    • We smash them in the first half and spend the rest of the game preserving our large lead. (Similar to the Kangaroos SCG game)
    • After an even first half, we have a great third quarter and spend the last quarter holding a healthy lead. (The Cheer squad spend the whole last quarter singing.)
    • After an even three quarters, we overrun them in the last quarter. (Similar to the Saints final)
    • We pinch the game in the dying seconds. (Like the Geelong final).
    • "This kick for the premiership." We win the game with a kick after the final siren. (Brisbane Gabba game)

I don't think I could take a last minute or after siren win!

Is it possible for a 20yo do have a heart attack?

The win over St Kilda was very satisfying and will also give the fans time to celebrate in the last few minutes.
That's the problem with modern day medicine - there's no more natural selection of the species.
No wonder there's so many Collingwood fans.

I want to see a tight, closely contested, emotional match for most of the day but then kill them in the last quater a la St. Kilda so we can celebrate every goal as though it was the final siren and get the celebrations started early. Although any of the other options listed are acceptable.

If ever we are going to find out it will be this weekend. My great grandfather actually died of a heart attack with 5 minutes to go in a game against carlton. We got up and won that game. R.I.P. Sam Armstrong

Much as I lost interest at the end of the Mexican Wave Brisbane game, I will take that in the Grand Final any time.

First half thumping would be good.

                  This is how it goes:

Swans dominate the first quarter. We die down in the first half of the second quarter. The rest of it, WCE take over. Third quarter, Swans fans are already saying "That's it - we're gone!" but no. Fourth quarter we start of slowly, but we make a huge comeback and win by 5+ goals.

Smash them early so I can relax during half time!

...or maybe close to half time and smash them in the third quarter.

Win at all costs. But it would be great to smash them in the first half to really kill their confidence for the 2nd.

I remember the Kangaroos Grand Final, with the feeling of despair during most of the last quarter as I knew the game was lost.

                        Now imagine that was reversed.

That's why I voted for the big third quarter. The first half would be a feeling of dread and doubt - surely we cannot lose another Grand Final? Then a third quarter with each goal making the game better and better.

The Geelong final was an okay finish, but oh! the tension!

I want the atmosphere like during the the 2003 GF when the lions supporters knew they'd won and had the entire last quarter to celebrate, throwing streamers all over the ground, singing the song for ages. Smash em early. Great times!

I heard that Roos was planning a #5: win after the siren. I hope he has read this thread and adjusts the plan.

I like the first three options combined - Swans to win EVERY quarter!
