Painting Sydney red and white this Friday

I posted this on the Atmosphere in Melbourne this week thread but thought it needed its own for Sydney.

I reckon that there should be a coordinated"wear red and white day" on Friday (I'm having a wear red and white week). Maybe we can ask radio stations to promote a wear red and white day?

At the very least Sydney Town Hall should be flying the red and white flag. If people wanna email Sydney City Council re the Town Hall: [email protected]

The Herald had mentioned today that the R&W flag will fly on Town Hall on match day.

Would have been nice to see banners up & down George St during the week tho!

What about the rest of NSW??

The non-Sydney people of NSW should also feel as though the Swans are their team. Similarly ACT.

If it happened to be....would the Swans take the Cup around NSW?? I hope so.

Judging by the typo quality of many of your posts, I'd say it would probably be a perfect colour match.

This morning I counted six very large red and white 'Go Sydney' banners with the club logo (each banner about 2 metres long) outside the front of Sydney Town Hall. Great to see.

The Canberra Times is on the Sydney Bandwagon, well not really, they have provided more coverage on the Swans and 'roos all year.

Can we have a photo of Sydney Town Hall if someone has the time?

No wonder there's so many Collingwood fans.

Why similary ACT. They are not NSW, the Canberra Times may have more covarage than usual but I doubt the Chief Minister would fly a Sydney flag anywhere in Canberra!!

As for Sydney, I'm decorating the lounge in Red & White and have been wearing my Swannies guearnsy out and about all week

Never mind George St, the problem may be St George. With 3 out of the 4 NRL teams to play in this weekend's PFinals being Sydney-based, there is too much excitement therein to expect all of Sydney to wear red and white. But those NRL fans are certainly aware, and supportive, of the Swans tilt.

Popped past the Town Hall at lunch time and saw them too.

Also noticed the Swans flag flying over the Town Hall on the mast closest to Druitt St.

                            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

I've had a red and white week too.

Proudly arranged my wardrobe so I have worn a red and white ensemble each day, along with my game day scarf.

Been heckled by some pimple faced St Greg's kid on the station every morning and had some of those surrounding me give it back to him ten fold. YAY!

My desk is covered in Red and White. Swans gear, posters, streamers and balloons. Teddy bears and a red and white toy boat I got for Kris Kringle with SS Swans liquid papered on it.

I even took a leaf out of Erin and Bec's book and baked red and white iced cup cakes for everyone here at work for morning tea.

My finger nails are painted red and white and have had a different design each day.

My car is dressed in red and white swans scarves.

I have my Feel the Beat wrist band on along with the Make poverty history white one, My lapel pins on my jacket and I think that could be it.

And I wonder why my work mates call me fanatical.

Tomorrow will be on a plane on the way to MECCA, but will still be decked out in red and white
Here's my heart and you can break it

                              We need
