For everyone bagging Bevo, dont forget the same could have been said of Luke Ablett in 2003, when he came back into the side for the two finals. And look where he has developed to now.

I think Bevo will learn a heap from Sat, win or lose, and it should stand him in good stead. All we ask is that whoever he plays on sees no more of the ball than he does.

bevan has the goods, we've seen that and he's shown considerable resilience and determination to turn around his second-year blues. he build a serviceable game on last weeks effort and successes. even if he doesn't beat his man outright, it can still be a win for us if he reduces his opponent's influence.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Agreed, I also think some people tend to forget how young he is. FFS most players don't get a game at his age, it's a credit to him that he has been able to break into the team. If you judge him as what he is: a very good youngster and not against his form last year then I think he has done very well. GO BEVO!

Bevan has been crap and is very lucky. Bad luck for Schauble. But its good news that our team has been unchanged and so settled for weeks. I have such a good feeling about Saturday it makes me moist ..... my eyes that is!

Would of prefered Malceski or Vogels but well done Bevo on retaining your spot. His pressure and 1%ers in the last quarter really helped kill off St Kilda.

I don't have anything against Bevo, but thought Malceski would have been a better option.

I hope he has a blinder.

                  Indeed.

I would love Bevo to prove me wrong and have 30 touches and kick 4 goals on Saturday. Go for it Bev!

I don't care about any of that. All that matters is he plays well on Saturday.

I agree with Big Bear if it ain't broke don't fix it.
                      Maybe the coach's thinking too.

i thought that they should have dragged Dale Lewis out of retirement and flicked that useless dog, Mathews. Lewie had such great defensive skills and Benny has been a passenger all year.

Oh the humour. Mathews has been OK in the finals. Don't get too carried away with that lovechild of yours though.

It seems the emergencies will be Malceski, Moore and Schauble according to Kelli Underwood who was with the team as they boarded the plane in Sydney.
