Herald Sun confused on "spiritual home"

THE Sydney Swans have been locked out of their spiritual home for their post-Grand Final party.

The Swans refused to accede to a $20,000 fee ? issued by South Melbourne Soccer Club ? for use of Lakeside Oval on Sunday.

But we all know the SCG is our spiritual home now.

We're happy to play at the SCG, it's been our spiritual home since we arrived in Sydney

Smells like a "stick it up them" after Pascoe et al pulled the "save the grandstand" stunt earlier in the week. Do the South Melbourne Soccer Club want the old stand gone? My guess is yes.

Wouldn't think so because the Soccer club bearly have two bob to rub together as it is. I think the Soccer Club saw the Swans GF party as a chance to rip us off as best they could to get themselves some "unexpected" income.
        Once was, now elsewhere
