OK, I am signing out now, the next time I sign back in I really really hope we are the 2005 premiers.

Greg B's hair is dyed, my son didn't follow my instructions not to wash the red and white out of his hair. My daughter is that tired that getting through tommorrow will be a mammoth feat for both me and her.

Leaving home at 7.30 breakkie at Maccas at Calder Park, then off to the pre match meet up at the boat sheds.

Whatever the result, it will rate as one of the biggest weeks of my life.

Sang the song with random people in Lygon Street last night. Eventually got back to the hotel and to bed. Woke around 3.30am and have watched the clock. Just signed on, saw Baz holding the Cup on the Swans home page and the tears have started.

Swans, I know that you'll do your best, I know that you'll do us proud.

I'm staying in Geelong, and will shortly be doing the drive up to Melbourne. To anyone going to Alexandra Gardens pre-match, see you there.

It's been an amazing journey. I remember after I moved up to Sydney in the early 1990s going to the SCG. In those days the Swans were battlers and could so easily have lost the fight to survive.
But then the tide began to turn. In 1995, my first year as a member, Plugger and Rooooos came to the club and Kelly won a Brownlow. In 1996 came a grand final appearance out of nowhere and the game came onto the map in Sydney.
It's been 9 years since then, and the club has usually been thereabouts; slowly building towards another grand final berth. This time it's not a fairytale or miracle, but the culmination of meticulous work and planning by Rooooos and the team.
To the players and staff, best wishes. And to all the fans, have a great day. And here's hoping that by the time the sun has set today Barry and Roosy have held up the cup.

I leave in 15 to 20 minutes to catch the connecting bus, then from there I shall take the train to the MCG.
