Actually, Noggy had a very ordinary finals series. But hey, he's got a premiership medal & next year he can start again!

For someone who has just played his first full season in the seniors it was a tremendous year, although not surprising his form dropped off at the end.

Nog's standing and respect in the club was shown by the fact he was given the job on Judd (twice) and del Santo.

Hall said after the game that he had full confidence in Nog doing the job.
"As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

I'd agree, his form tapered a bit towards the end of the year, but it was still an excellent year. The voting for the Swans Most improved with be extremely tight with Noggy, Monty and LRT all having raised their game.

          Cmon guys we won
lets not go into the what if's thats for the losing teams too do!

anyway it was a shocking kick but then you can look back at the 8 minutes we spent in there 50 and all the what if's

what if jude bolton had got that snap instead of kicking it accross face?

what if magic had nailed the shots etc?

you wouldnt kick 1 player out for a bad kick, otherwise we'd have to get rid of magic as well.

To think that if NOG hadn't kept the ball in play in the dying seconds against Geelong the season would've been lost 2 weeks ago.

I noticed that in the Herald-Sun he scored -2 points for the match.
I can't remember ever seeing a negative score before.

...still his improvement this year was a big part of the teams improvement (with Bucky). I think he's very much a required player.

No problems here - agree with Roosy - he brought cousins into the game

Nothing like a close finish hey Luke!

I doubt that he will do that again and after watching part of the replay, some of his smother work and attack on the ball was first rate.

                  Scoreboard tells the story

Ablett will step up another notch next year after a dissapointing game in the Grand Final. I predict he will average a goal a game and 20+ possesions.

                    Just you wait.

Ah trade him - can't perform in pressure finals... Don't need passengers...

Everyone makes mistakes i mean yes it was a huge one i really felt for him when it happened it was an unfortunate mis judgement really. Ablett is my favourite player at the swans he has had some fab games for us this season so lets not forget about that. I really hope he doesnt get traded..... does anyone think he mite? :-( I hope not! i think he is just going to keep on improving!!!! and the fact he has a medal and gary didnt really will motivate him! GO THE ABS!!!!

Would you say the same about Micky O'Loughlin?

He missed heaps of shots at goal - any one of them could have been the match-winner. Would you drop him because of his poor form? Would you blame him for losing us the GF because he missed about four shots at goal (two out on the full)? Of course not!

                              Well, mainly because we won.
