    72 Years On.

ONE CAN ANALIZE THE GAME AND FIND BOTH POSITIVES AND NEGATIVES.
THE FACT REMAINS THAT WE WON AND THEY LOST
BOTH TEAMS GAVE OF THEIR BEST AND WE CAME OUT ON TOP BECAUSE WE WERE BETTER OVER 120 MINUTES.
Congrats to the Norm Smith Medalist (Chris Judd) who was clearly BOG and well done to the Umpires who didn't influence the game and kept it flowing
TO THE BLOODS PLAYERS.....YOU NEVER GAVE UP AND PERSISTED UNTIL YOU ACHIEVED YOUR AIM
Thankyou to the entire Swans team from a 55 yr supporter in helping me see one of my dreams
GO THE MIGHTY BLOODS.....IT FEELS SOOOOOOOO GOOD
Don't stop now you have the taste

You're not dinkum are you? Another person bedazzled by the flashy midfielder that gets lots of possessions.
The voters of NS medal are similarly blinded. A poll on Bigfooty gives it 43% to Buchanan 21% to Judd. I know that polls are often worth that mch - they could be manipulated but Judd was not "Clearly" best on ground.
Three SS players were stand outs - Buchanan, LRT and Crouch.

Agree. Even the commentators weren't that impressed either. I don't understand why giving the other team a consolation price. It's just look stupid and Judd expressed that very well in his speech.

I thought Judd deserved it. Nearly every time he got the ball he was able to free up a WC player to get them into attack again. 11 clearances in a game is phenomenal.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Great post briswan. There was no absolute standout for the Norm Smith but I definately thought Buchanen deserved it more than Judd, he tried his guts out all day and had a bigger influence on the final outcome than Judd, especially in the last quater where he was magnificent. Having said that, who cares! WE WON THE BLOODY PREMIERSHIP!!!!!!!

What about all the kicks that went to Swans players (approx 10 "clangers")...I thought he was nearly our best player...similar to LRT last year. FOSDIKE was well and truly best on gorund, followed by LRT Buchanan and Crouch

I agree. Having watched the GF again on Saturday, I noticed just how many clangers Judd had. I would have given it to Fossie followed by Buchanan.
