    next year

    1. i don't see why we can't have a crack again next year. as with most premiership teams: a key issue this year was the low number of injuries to key players.

    2. i reckon hall might just be likely to be captain fulltime. whaddaya reckon?

    3. 2006 is the year to consolidate our position in sydney. we'll get record membership numbers and huge crowds. can the swans request more games at telstra stadium now? i reckon four or five is definitely doable

    4. how many will bazza be gone for at the start of the year? coathanger * double points + 0.937 * 1 week = ???

    5. jolly to be senior ruckman. doyle will be retained, but we need that backup ready to go. have we got one on the books or will we have to scoop another trade?

    6. in principle, should we trade our picks for experience and class? we don't need to "go one further" anymore. i reckon we top up the list until we bust (or hall retires) and then go for the big rebuild.

    1. agree with injuries, if someone like Leo (touch wood!) had a long term injury we'd be in a bit of strife.
    2. i'm going with Kirk, I think he has been awesome.
    4. it looked worse than it actually was.
    5. this is the biggest question mark going into next year. Ball's absence will be sorely felt, and even if Doyle stays fit he has a long way to go to filling those shoes. Maybe Goodes has to go back into the ruck which may not be a bad thing if he's the backup to Jolly.
    6. still have a lot of kids waiting in the wings (moore, malceski, mcveigh). May need cover in the key defensive position now that Schaubs is gone.

I think if Sydney is to be a force next year, we need to do some trading.

The monkey is off the back. We have a premiership.

Need to develop the midfield and another ruckman.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

i'm glad you guys down in melbourne are at last getting some decent treatment in the schedule but surely it can be arranged that the premier gets to play at home first round to unfurl the flag and whatnot.

An instrument with only 9 notes! Surely it's easy to play?
