    Now that the droughts broken...

it should possibly be easier to mentally win a premiership. Now that 72 of history has been bookended we can start a new page of history.

There is no reason why we cant win another in the near future because people have seen one and know it has been done. Im talking about the pressure of every past player. The only pressure now should be as REIGNING PREMIERS.

Hopefully we dont slide like port, who after years of trying (3 for them, 72 for us). It doesnt rub into 2006.
    Onwards to Victory!

There's now 21 players and a coach who *should* be there next year, who know what it takes.

Some of them will only be there a couple more years. But some will be there for a decade.

Back to back... someone had to say it.

I don't think our retirements will hurt us anywhere near what people are suggesting. Also many of our veterans are only 28 years old and the likes of Goodes, ROK, Davis, Kennelly will be around for at least another 5 or 6 years. Add to this the young talent we have: LRT, Schneider, Buchanen, Jolly, Dempster, Bevan(he will improve, trust me!) etc. and our future looks bright!

I think that now we've done it, mentally it should be easier for us in the future.

I probably don't mean it, but I don't care what happens now, I will go along and cheer my heart out with the knowledge that the moment that most of my family and myself were waiting for (the so called impossible) has happened.

My view of the world has changed hehe - however 4 in a row would be nice lol....

I've experienced back to back before - Glenelg in the SANFL in 85 and 86. You may be surprised just how much you hunger for it again next year.

Roosy pretty much ruled it out at the press conference.

Next year should be re-bulding for us, brining in the likes of Moore, Malceski, Scmidt, McVeigh, Willoughby, Vogels, Sundqvist.

Seeing which of those guys can take us forward.

We have to play with so much intensity to win - I doubt they could sustain that effort.

Would be nice though . Could I ask next time we might have some larger winning margins
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

Agree with this. Which means that even if we don't achieve as much the journey will be interesting. The midfield and back six prospects are looking good, but where will we find another such forward line!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

                        We'll be dangerous next year.

Much like Duffman: "Paul Roos says a lot of things baby!". Backing up is always going to be a lot easier when you play the old "Don't mind us we're in a re-building phase" line. Good ploy by Roos but I doubt other teams will take us any less seriously for it.

                            agree totally

but for now i feel let the summer go slow, so we are the premiers for a long time.

I am confident we can give it a shake, maybe it will be easier to take if we miss out cos our last one is so close now.

But i said when trying to be serious on friday to some people we need to win in 2005, cos its a best chance. Our best players like hall kirk barry etc are at their peak. West Coast are still young and will win one, geelong will come back maybe stkilda. It will be tough

but at first i wanted a bite, now ive had one, i am hungry for more and i eat a lot

I have this funny feeling 2005 was our one big chance. We really did have a great run in terms of injuries. Everyone fired in the last half of the season and we had some great luck in the finals (Kerr injured, Hall gets off, Davis goes sick v Geelong etc).

Thank god we took it when we could, otherwise there'd be another year of stress to go along with the 3 hours on Saturday.

But I reckon this group of players won't do a Port Adelaide and lose the hunger overnight, so who knows what might happen!
