    My friends...

I don't know about you, but I'm past the shock. I'm past the disbelief. I'm past the relief, the sheer joy, the emotions that you can't express no matter how hard you try. I'm at a new point in what I assume winning a flag is supposed to feel like. It's a feeling of absolute peace.

I don't think there's anyone that'll read this post that has seen a Swans flag before. Well, everyone who reads this post has seen one now. Swannies fans have been born, grown up, lived their lives and died without seeing one... far too many of them. No more.

I'll be writing down my experience of this weekend, and I'll put it here for you to read. But it is for my benefit. I won't be able to capture that feeling... I'll have a chronology, and hopefully that will help me to remember.

I want to win more. I'm greedy. I want next year's flag too. I want the one after that and the one after that. I want to be like Port and Essendon and Carlton fans. I want to have to think hard about which flag it was that Leo saved for us. Was it 2005? Or '06?

But for now... my peaceful feeling is enough.
    We hate Anthony Rocca
    We hate Shannon Grant too
    We hate scumbag Gaspar
    But Leo WE LOVE YOU!

    I feel exactly the same.

    The balance has been restored.

    Justice has been served.

    Wrongs have been righted.

The black hole has been closed.

Peace reigns and all is as it should be.

I don't know if I want another flag, it would be a total anti-climax after this one. I guess I could forgive the swans for winning a few more though

I don't exactly remember when I joined this forum but it's been great sharing the journey with RWO. Cheers all!

All you have to do now is get used to winning. Once you have the taste you want more and more. Roll on 2006.

What a year its been. We've seen 10 seasons roled into one. Dreadful spoon-material form early on. Extremely negative play, and extremely positive play. Crap goal shooting, to bang on target shooting. Epic comes from behinds, and failure to put away teams. Young players rise up, and older ones fall away. What a journey.

No one official has thanked RWO, but beleive me, in a city where its hard to rub two swan fanatics together, RWO serves a greater purpose. To all the people here, thanks for the journey. Like the season I've hated and loved this place at one time or another. To those on here I've locked horns with. We were both right, and both wrong. Its irrelevant now. The sum is greater than the details.

Ironically, I went along to the SCG today, and I came away a little disappointed. Not because of anything not organised, but because I realised the swans are just a group of humans in the form of a footy club, and not some spiritual conglomerant driving my every thought. [ I hope I've explained myself ok ]

As a kid I followed Carlton, and flag every few years was expected and happened. I lived in Brisbane in the early 90's and took on the Bears as my 2nd (sometimes 1st) team while they built the 3-peat team. But Sydney were always my 2nd team simply because I was from NSW, and I kicked into No. 1 in 1998 when I moved to Sydney. In summary, I've seen premierships before, but by-god, this is the biggest, most emotional, I have ever dared witness.

The question remains, was it a snatch by a perinial top 8 team, or the start of a dynasty.
