      To Roosy and the boys,

Thankyou so much for season 05 - this has been the best few days of my life witnessing a flag. I am just so proud of everyone at the club who have worked together to achieve the holy grail.

This will stay with me forever

For my great uncle who used to play with the bloods in the twenties

For my uncle who was 13 when he was there on the day in 1933 and is now 85 and a bit frail to make the trip from Bendigo to the MCG

For my dad who joined me up on my fifth birthday and isn't here to savour the victory

And from me, who knew that, one day, we would be here.

Thanks to you all, Roosy, all the players, the support staff, to everyone.

It's an amazing feeling to be part of such a club, the REIGNING PREMIERS!

        I thank you all

        Annette

In 96 I burst into tears at the end of the match - a combination of disappointment, the loss of a dream and sheer exhaustion from a long season full of unimaginable highs. On Saturday I burst into tears of sheer joy and happiness, and with a high even better than 96. It has been a long and very bumpy road for our beloved Swans, and to see you all finally reap the rewards on Saturday was more fulfilling than I could ever have imagined, and to witness it first hand was more amazing than I can describe. It is something that can never be taken away from us now and to finally prove them all wrong is so sweet. Thank you.

          CARN A BLOODS!!!!

Still possible to add things? everythings already been said.

LRT you legend! Who was that WC player he outmaneuvered?

Another thing: I remember watching Mark Williams in his acceptance speech last year and he seemed so arrogant, nearly a sore winner so to say.
I was very proud of Roosy's speech, not going over the top, but letting the emotion come out (eventually!).

Can't believe that this was all 3 seconds away from not happening at all!

Damn the boys were quite hugover (still wasted) yesterday....lol.
That's the problem with modern day medicine - there's no more natural selection of the species.
No wonder there's so many Collingwood fans.

To Paul Roos and all of the Bloods players, coaching and support staff, and all the office staff from the receptionist to the CEO.

                  THANK YOU

A match won in true Swan spirit. All for one. One for all.

Words can't describe the thrill of a premiership win that I and my family dreamed of on so many occasions driving down the F3 to watch you guys play- words can't adequately describe the feeling when that final siren went- it was like a weight had been lifted from this Swans fan's shoulders.

Enjoy yourselves as you celebrate your victory. You deserve it. Have a good break and I will see you at the first home game of 2006.

                  Go Bloods!

                    Generations

Congratulations to everyone involved in Saturday Afternoon's victory.

The Sydney Swans have built a solid bridge between two generations, the old South Melbourne and the new Sydney breed.

The win was worthy and oh so sweet.

Congratulations to all the players and coaching staff. You deserve all the success in the world.

You have made all our dreams here in Melbourne come true.

I still feel like I am going to wake up. If it is a dream I will stay asleep forever.

                            Congratulations Sydney!!!!!!!

Thanks Roosy for bringing back the old BLOODS spirit from the day you took over as coach. It has produced the most memorable season, a fighting BLOODS premiership. It has been special since the day you started.

Demetriou and others thought that the Sydney people wanted a fancy foot, high flying team. With the history of rugby in this town, we appreciate the toughness of the team. A real TEAM that bleeds for one another. And they did in the GF.

Spirit and toughness and a willingness to go in harder than the opposition has won the day. It has created a magnificent season. Sydney fans would'nt have it any other way.

                            BLOODS FOREVER!!!!!
                            Go the BLOODS!

Guys...it was inspirational, courageous, historic and proof that the good guys do win sometimes.

I've loved the way you've gone about your footy for the past three years, and to see you get the ultimate reward for effort is brilliant.

I'm just so rapt for all of you, but especially the coach whose whole approach and demeanour has stamped him as a person of the utmost quality and integrity.

Roosy, I loved what you said to us supporters on Sunday at the SCG when you said the premiership was ours too.

An AFL team is so much more than the 22 guys playing on the field.

The victory means so much to so many people. For me, its a dream come true, and one I feared I would never see.

Enjoy all your celebrations guys. You really deserve it.

And if I come across any of you in a bar, please let me buy you a beer!

I want to thank you guys as well as congratulate you. This win was amazing and meant so much to so many, including my family.

I admire the way you all play for each other and the respect you all obviously have for Roosy. I don't think I've ever seen a tighter bond in a sporting team before and it makes me so proud to be a part of it all.

Congrats boys, soak it up and enjoy it.
