    Public transport to SCG...?

My mum and dad are up for the weekend, so I am taking dad to the footy today. However, we are taking public transport, which I haven't done before (normally I get a lift).

We are getting a ferry into Circular Quay. Are there buses to the ground from there (and if so where) or do we need to head to Wynard? TIA!

There are special buses from the Circular Quay to the SCG and return, the fare?s around $4.40 return (adult). I don?t know exactly where the SCG buses depart from at the Quay, but there is a bus information booth in front of Macca?s on Alfred Street directly opposite the train station if you need assistance.

The buses drop you off at the ground at Driver Avenue, in front of the SCG Members gates.

Catch any of the ANZAC Pde buses (most of the 390-399 series) and pay normal prices (not "special" prices) its haf the fare! And you can use pension cards etc.

Which is why I park in Kensington, not at Randwick ($1.20 each way, or 1 swipe of my travel-ten 2sections) instead of $4.40 return.

Yeah, we ended up catching an Anzac Pde bus. Nice and simple. No one seem to have any idea exactly where the special buses went from. Dad's first visit to the SCG - a very pleasing effort by the boys for him.

And what about that chant, hey!?

Seriously, the 339 Fox Studios bus drops you right off at the Bus Stop/Lakeside Oval. Why anybody would catch the rip off buses from Chalmers St is beyond me!

Chant was fantastic. A lady and a gentleman near us in the Brewongle seemed to start it a couple of times. I could see you guys clearly in the cheer squad - I'll try to get away to say hello next time.
