On WLF they showed an interview with Kirk done yesterdya morning at Albert Park - he seemed a lot more lucid there than he did on stage - can't help but think the way he made his comment was a bit of an act, even though the words rang true.
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Yeah I saw that one too. He was a lot more coherent but still very very sweet. Saw the one with Bally too and boy, did he look under the weather. eyes like the proverbial 'two p*ssholes in the snow' :-).

Kirk for Captain 2006
I agree. As hard as it would be to take it away from Bazza, no-one imbodies the spirit and history of the BLOODS more than Kirk. With his grandfathers ANZAC spirit pulsing through his veins he IS CAPTAIN BLOOD.
A couple of weeks ago when I saw him in a TV interview, I have never seen a more serious and determined man. With a look of sternness Kirk looked the reporter straight in the eyes and said something like. " We are a TEAM. We fight to the end for one another".
My quote is probably wrong, but the way he said it was inspirational. Spirit for the Sydney team was oozing out of him with his steely look and slow strong words. He is the toughest man in the league.
