Swans carrying injuries into Final

Heard on the news today that the four Swans were carrying injuries into the Final. Schneider and Leo fractured cheek bones, Jude a dislocated shoulder and Jolly a dislocated finger. Great show of courage and tenacity by all the boys.
I know it was covered last week but I hate to hear the media here knocking the south melbourne link. That link makes us stronger and I'm very proud of the old 'Bloods' and I think the players are too.
As the banner said two cities one team. I must alos give a huge rap to all the Melbournians who made my trip so enjoyable.

It just shows the courage and determination of the players to hide the injuries they carried into the finals, as well as the work of the medical teams.

This is a great article describing all the injuries our guys were playing with. It seems half the side was strugling with something. Whats that I hear? Bloods Spirit?

Did anyone know that leo had a broken cheekbone? Hows that Mark of The Year with a broken cheekbone!

I think that they still should have kept it all quiet. Even though next year is a fair way away, broken bones will always be suceptable to further injury.

Probably explains why a few of them were a bit down for the finals eg Hall and the boltons. Halls injury probably explains his dificulty marking the ball as it can't be easy taking a grab with either an injured arm or an arm that is basicly numb from painkillers.

I don't know Anniswan, my doc tried to tell me that bones are sometimes stronger after a fracture or break. I think he was full of it as I've managed to fracture my arm in the same place twice, but he seemed serious.

Healed microfractures are one of the reasons those black belt guys have such strong hands.
