Some of the most obscure rules in AFL IMO, are:
    - Ruckman penalised when hitout goes OOBOTF. (Which is I guess a version of deliberate)
    - The whole kicking it back in after a point. Especially when the ump calls play on, and yet you still have to kick it to yourself and from within the box.

But, nothing compared to the degree in philosophy required to understand rugby union rules.

Well, Saturday's game was the culmination of some hard work by me over season 2005.It marked the fourth time my rah rah mad parentals have watched a game of 'real footy', and watched the last three in a row! This is officially amazing.

As some of you know, my family are hardcore rugby -- to the point of wearing the collars up and dare I add, boatshoes! -- so this is unheard of! Even my brother, who has a somewhat offensive name for the AFL, watched it with his mates. He sent me a lovely text message apologising for having a go at me all year for spending my hard earned moolah travelling interstate to watch my team play. Sigh! A flicker of acceptance... who would have thought?!?!

So my prediction for Season 2006 is:

      * My parents will come to all Stadium Australia matches in 2006 and potentially one at the SCG

      * My brother will sign up to play for St George Crows

      * My parents will be full club members by 2008

      * My brother will be picked up in the rookie draft by Richmond in a few years to replace the ageing fullforward of the same name. He will enjoy the attention received in the Melbourne and will be Richmond's Little Richo until he's flabby and old.

Well, that last one is a stretch. But you heard it here, folks!

And you can't find nothing at all,
If there was nothing there all along.

That's ok. I never really did know him that well. And 82's not bad (10 the last time we won).

Anyway, back to the thread... Sydneysiders do love a good bandwagon. But if you really want some good bitchy bandwagon stuff
        check this out (from Dockerland.com).

I wonder if we'll ever have that rivalry when Sydney has 2 teams?

Illegal shepherding of the man on the mark. Can only be paid at crucial moments in finals.

What about the bouindary throw-in where the ball is punched "out on the full" and it is a free kick. Happened to bally in the PF. A silly rule that I think has only been introduced this year

You would wish Richmond upon your brother? Do you hate him? Save him from this fate worse than death and convince him to stick to rugby.

You just gotta love the event watchers at the SMH.

AND I adore those bandwagoners at the News Ltd press!Getting behind the Mighty Swans when they make the semis but usually confining them to some crappy part of the sports section during the regular season!

                  (Damm,no more rolleyes emoticon anymore!)
Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

Your determination, your tenacity and your under-rated skill is why you have become my favourite player!
