Yes, "That's Gold" is a Rugby League expression, started up by none other than the Chief on that ridiuculous TV show "Hey Hey it's Fatty". I however was not using it in that context, just like yourself and your unwavering support for the Swans, the expression has been around for a lot longer than that. It may have been a retro nod to Norman May for all you know.
How do you know I am a "supposed" fan? Are you making assumptions? You can go and read my story in the "Tell us why you follow the Swans" thread in the intros. I have not been following them since I was 4, but there are some really good stories in there. Perhaps you could have a read and even tell us a bit about yourself.

chubby muff, sorry if u feel i've belittled ur support of the swans or if u?ve read hostility into what i wrote. as u no, i've been a swans fan since leaving the maternal nest & furthermore have a vast knowledge of the club's history & past, having compiled a number of lists relating 2 swans stats - did u no former aussie test cricket captain WW Armstrong played 4 the swans in the 1899 gf?? if i look down upon most swans fans i encounter it's because i find most fair weather supporters who throw around things like 72-yr drought & bloodied angels without knowing what really mean. if u r a truly committed swans supporter then i'm sorry, however from ur output here the diehard support u talk of doesn't showLast edited by aceman; 29 September 2005, 09:04 AM.Comment

OK Aceman. Show me where I have ever mentioned diehard support with regards to myself? You are a *gasp* born and bred South Melbourne supporter so how can I possibly have an opinion. I'm just some Johnny Come Lately Fool! Do you know my favourite thing to do at a game is yell "BAAAAAAL!" everytime a player gets tackled? It's so much fun!
Your attitude is curious, on the one hand you post some new facts and seem like your passing an olive branch, but then feel the need to question my level of support? That really hurts coming from a respected poster such as yourself, but I am sure people here will come to realise that you are the most commited, passionate Swans fan in the world, because you say so. Please conitnue to "look down on other fans" and enjoy your life. Your a tops troll in anyone's language - even that texty voweless stuff you write.
Just remember I love you Sweetie Pie.Comment

ko'ed lobster, i make no secret of the fact most of my lists have been created with information gathered from the internet. the net is cheap, reliable & easily the most complete & accessible resource 4 afl research & i don't c how using it could b perceived as a slight on my loyalty or the quality of my lists.
i'm currently looking 2 produce a list 4 swans performances in pre-season & night premiership matches & although the project is a lot more involved than i initially guessed, i'll dedicate my entire long weekend 2wards it's completion & should have something 2 share with members soon. once finished i hope 2 lobby 4 pre-season & night premiership matches 2 b included in official match & goal totals, etc. & night premiership considered as official premiership alongside regular season 1s like this yr?s.
ps. i've attended many swans game, but never in a wig or face paint. i've a skin condition where face paint can result in flaking & irritation & leaves me red like a lobsterComment
