72 hours on and i still think i'm living in a dream. I just doesn't feel real. ********ing work is not letting me have a bloody minute to think about what we have achieved.
Official Driver Of The "Who Gives A @@@@ As The Player Will Get Delisted Anyway" Bandwagon.
I sat at the Football Studies conference yesterday, gazing at the premiership cups in the Essendon Hall of Fame, thinking "One more, just one more game. That could be ours...". True story.
And you can't find nothing at all,
If there was nothing there all along.

It IS ours! Repeat after me: It's ours, it's ours, it's ours!
It was the red and white ribbons attached to the cup that did it for me, so used to seeing other teams' colours on GF day, it's always been some other side that has the fairytale ending - just like when the Panthers won the NRL in 2003 while I was still trying to answer the question "What happened to our fairytale?"
I still remember watching Swans games on TV in 2000, when I was still getting to know the game, that was the season we lost umpteen close games, and again in 2002 - how good does it feel now! Amazing how as a newbie, I still at least kept an interest in the Swans through those years...maybe I knew the holy grail wasn't far away (OK, now I'm stretching it!)
Watched the last Qtr and presentations 5 times now and still get a tear in the eye when Roosy screams HERE IT IS.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.
Originally posted by Go Swannies Get used to the disappointment. As our late, unlamented, Footyhead said "the Swans cannot win a flag with Paul Roos as coach."
Footyhead must be skooks.
I banned him from the swans board at myafl and sent him a timely reminder of that particular quote when i did.
"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."
Geez SwanSong...that's a great name you've got there...are we twins....blood brothers, perhaps?
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."
