My one worry about our ability to do it again next year is that this year was built on determination and absolute will power. If the team loses that we are an average side. Roosy has to make sure that doesnt happen.

There was some dramtic improvements in skills over the season. With confidence and the whole premiership boost I think you may see a sharper Swans team next year (think 4th Quarter v St K).

Most of our top players are in their prime or ready to play their best footy, especially Goodsey who could carve up the AFL next year.

Malcleski will be the Buchanan of 2006.

I think we can play off in another GF - possibly against WC again.

Going back-to-back is a huge ask and major expectation. Since 1990 only Brisbane and Adelaide have gone b-t-b. It's certainly possible we could emulate Adelaide in '98, but I think it really requires everything to fall into place. We're not of the calibre of the Brisbane dynasty, so comparing to them makes little sense.

In particular I think we need Jolly to step up to being a top-flight first ruckman and then find a decent backup. We need one or two of the younger midfielders to really progress significantly. We need the other players to maintain or improve on their good form from this year. We need a good run with injuries as I said. We need the team to play at the huge intensity we saw this year. We need more skilled teams like WC and StK not to develop at the rate they should.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

think we can be confident of top four, and then take it from there

rucking situation is crucial to the result. Two of the most important goals we kicked this year - Davis v. Geelong and Monty to put us in front in the GF - were set plays from bounces.

with the style of footy we play, need someone to step up to fill Ball's boots if we are to be a force again.

mental attitude of the team will also be a major factor. they seem highly professional in this regard so hope they are hungry for more
