Key position player more important than ruck in trade.

Seriously. It would be a waste to get Everitt for what we can at least attempt to trade for a key position player. If Erikson or Shaw can play five minutes a quarter of the bench and get a hitout thats fine in my opinion.

If one of Leo, CBolts, LRT goes down for a few weeks we're effectively shot. Maybe we could try Dempster on a taller player, or Goodes at CHB again, or much as he's hated here, Saddington. But that just doesn't suit. We need a FB, and one who can play up forward to would be terrific.

Look at the Power with Chad Cornes being able to move him around, a real wild card. Same with Essendon and Lucas, Freo with McPharlin.

Put Saddington, our picks, Bevan, Mathews just as long as we get a key tall.

Getting a good ruckman for next year is key to securing back to back prenmierships while we still have most of this years PREMIERSHIP winning side still playing for us. Bugger this trading for the future nonsense. OUR FUTURE IS NOW and we have a team capable of bringing us more than one premiership, especially if we trade well. The inclusion of the best ruckman in the country would be a huge boost to our chances in 2006.

Sorry, I'm with BRB on this one. Unless Vogels has an outstanding Wizard cup in defense....

May be a defender trade is still on the card. But since we only need a backup (not a front line like the ruckman position), it will be lower key and can be done once the ruck trade is sorted out.

This is why I am not rejecting the trade for a ruckman yet.
