    Sydney's reaction

I'm a bit disappointed there's been few signs of our victory in the city this week.

OK , the flag's over Town Hall (and the Bridge), but I would like to see a bit more at the ground level - flags talking about 150 years of rail really just don't do it for me.

Didn't see anyone in Swans gear on Monday (except when I looked in the mirror).
Had to check myself from high-fiving a few people when I saw they were sporting not Sydney 's colours , but in fact those of the Holden racing team.

I'm hoping for a bit of Melburnian passion at the parade on Friday.I know WE will all provide it , but I'd like to see the rest of the city join with us. I am dragging as many people as possible from my work to come along.
Bought cake for everyone on Monday (from Michel's - I like the colour of their boxes) - and have asked the Wests Tigers supporter if he'll do the same next week.

Still , I get a certain perverse satisfaction from being an AFL fan in a League town.
Great fun going into Rebel Sports today and asking "Why haven't you got Swans Premiers t-shirts yet?"
The answer , of course , is they don't have room for them - they're still trying to flog the Parramatta Minor Premiers shirts.
I'll bet they make a fortune on 'em.

Parra's fans must be like Eagles supporters - feeling Blue because they didn't strike Gold.

while this reply has little too do with this thread because its placed in melbourne

but the day after, we were walking on the sunny banks, blessed we were with sunshine as a godsend from heaven! as we continued our morning stroll whatever should appear infront of us but a congregation of the swans supporters (or bloods or even bloodwans for that matter!) each were decked out in there bloodwans attire as we were. "Go the swannies!" "Carn sydney!" were a few of the words been exchanges as we past them.

Even a group of swans supporters were walking around singing ye old anthem 'Cheer Cheer!' as swans supporters would walk past others would continue in the chant.

    How joyful it was!

Even up here in Brisbane there's been a bit of red and white around and now that the Dragons are out of the NRL I know it's for the Swans. The lady in my newsagent wore red and white on Monday in honour of the Swans and the local Hudsons gave me my coffee for free

I've seen quite a few Swans scarves and hats around work (UNSW) and even out around where I live which quite amazed me.

Then there's the Forrester pub (I think it's the Forrester on Forveaux St???) it's painted red and white and has red swans on it. I only noticed it yesterday, but I don't know how long it's been like that.
