    Ryan Lonie

Soft & Useless or useful midfield jib?

Could kick a lot of goals ungaurded on the SCG?

Wouldn't be worth much on the market.

Plus we have this knack of turning former C/wood players into PREMIERSHIP players
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

    Soft as butter

Pies fans refer to him as "mrs Lonie" or one of the "lonie sisters"

    No way Jose !

Hay would be ok but looks to be going to the Shinboners

Maybe we could turn Polak's career around ?

Apart from whether or not he's weak, we have plenty of Lonie's type - tallish backs not really tall enough to play KP.

Hay is gone. Has never been the same - physically or mentally - since coming back from injury.

Polak would be a much better get, but a Freo mate of mine made a comment that suggests he might violate the Ricky Barham rule.

Another Pie in red and white...why not? Lets face it, they're never going to win a premiership medal playing with the pies...For Willo and ND coming to Sydney was the best thing they ever did....well maybe not in Nick's case (his last second goal against the cats was really the best thing he's done). Just hope we don't ever go for one of their clowns -- Grease Shaw or ANY of the Clokes...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Lonie could be a nice long kicking winger, which would be handy. Does he have the heart though? Who knows!

His kicking is excellent. Not sure if he is really that soft - Pie supporters said that about Davis.

I personally wouldn't really try to get him but he may be useful if he falls in our lap.

We know how to get the best out of the players. We know how to add a bit of steel to the players. Davis was much harder today than he used to.

So I dont mind if we get him as long as it is cheap. He got the size so does not need to have that grunt mentality which Kirk and Bolton thrive on.

Just need to add a bit of determination and we might have a player in our hand.

From the player's perspective: if he is no ********head, he should jump at this opportunity to get something out of his career before it is too late.

              Same applies for Everitt.

He seems to drop his head when things aren't going right. That may be something that can be changed.

I followed Nick's career at the 'pies pretty closely, I don't think he was every anywhere near as soft as some people thought he was in his time there.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Yeah, he only got a bad wrap from Pies supporters when he played poorly in the finals while carrying an injury.

Slightly bigger and more accurate than O'Keefe but why bother, really.
