Everitt or McDonald okay by Ball

Looks like Peckett, Riccardi & Thompson will play on - all similar age to Ball. Any chance we can convince him to go around again.

    Will $$$$ do it?
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

Why the hell would you want to play on when you can go out the way Ball did?

would be fabulous if Ball went around again, but yes why would he? there would be no better way to cap a career, surely.

a job as ruck coach will be great - as long as we do manage to recruit some more talent.

two years out of everitt could be interesting while this team holds together - and perhaps the thing is that he might be hungrier than some of the others, and get them going a bit more as well.

(but does he pass the no ********head test? RWO poll required please webmaster)

Failing him, MacDonald can obviously play a bit too. Medical reports have been promising.

And if we get anything out of Doyle, that's got to be a plus none of us are factoring in.

Let's just hope he doesn't turn into a Gardiner. (although at least we'll be able to pension him off no problem to the twos)

if the rucks are a problem in 06, then can we keep a spot for Ball to come back later in the year? (lack of pre-season obviously a problem here)

We seem to be having a brace of retirements, which might create an opportunity to attract some stars, like Everitt. If Saddington and Powell are all we lose from the active playing group, that's a win.

Good thing is that - Ball apart - none of those retirements/trades are from the GF 22.

One of the young rucks - Shaw etc. - needs some game time early in 06. Will be interesting to see what they do in the ruck come the Wizard Cup.

Aussie Jones has given it away though. Ball did mention this morning that his body had just about had enough.
