Dempster was - to me - clearly the drunkest at the SCG Sunday celebration. He couldn't string two words together.
Have been meaning to post a separate post on this subject. As a player, he really slipped under most people's radars this year, and was a real 'quiet achiever.' Roos entrusted bigger and bigger jobs to him as the year went on, and he rarely failed.

I cacked myself in the parade. The only 2 guys not smiling (at least at the point of the parade at the corner of George and Hunter Sts) were Luke Ablett and him. Luke (at least arguably) has something not to smile about.
It's almost like he's trying to cultivate a reputation as the sullen, brooding one; just like there has to be a sullen, brooding 'bad boy' in every boy band.
Perhaps we should be generous and just presume that he's shy. Anyways, he can sure play footy, and that'll do me.Comment

He cracked a smile. Perhaps he is like the rest of us and still can't quite believe that the Swans won???
Seriously - I have never played elite sport and never will but I can imagine that that moment will haunt him forever! Like when you are sitting on the bus and have a tragic flashback when you were a complete PLONKER in public in the past.
He is a champion and I really look forward to some long goals to fire us all up next year.Comment
