    2006 fixture

It has been posted by the Hawks at:

However, I thought premiers had a home game in the first round so they can unfurl the flag? It looks like that will have to happen in R2 at the SCG v Port - especially as the flag has already been unfurled in Melbourne this past weekend.

Only one trip west? A crappy draw for WA Swans fans (good for Sydney though).

        hmmm some things:

        - We play Geelong at Telstra Stadium (Looks like Essendon have been bumped). Brisbane and Collingwood stays.
        - We get 4 home games in a row

Weird draw, rounds 6-10 are all away games (but includes the Bulldogs SCG game) and then rounds 11-14 are home games.

Two home games to finish, Brisbane and Carlton - hope they continue their 2005 form for a soft run home.

Also no Grand Final rematch until Round 15 - and it's at Subiaco!
Surprised - thought we'd play them twice again in 2006 given the rivalry that developed this year.

I wish we got the home game in rd 1 to unfurl the flag. It would of gotten huge momentum in the media if that were the case.

Interesting that the Telstra games are v Geelong, Collingwood and Brisbane according to that document.

                    Away games are:
                    5 in Melbourne
                    1 in Geelong
                    1 in Perth
                    1 in Adelaide
                    1 in Canberra
                    1 in Brisbane
                    1 in Sydney (WB game).

Now I just hope the Melbourne RWOers don't start complaining about only getting 5 games (not counting Geelong) - they got 8 this year!

Would have only been 7 if not for Umpire McInerney

Then hopefully two home finals and one away Grand Final.

No complaints, but the 8 this year included 2 finals. Any less than 6 games in Victoria is unacceptable so good result I guess.

6 games in Victoria - 4 of them in the first half of the season.
1 at Kardinia Park (party at Cher's place, remember)
                            3 at Telstra Dome
                            2 at the MCG

                            3 at Telstra Stadium
                            9 at the SCG

                            1 at the Gabba
                            1 at Subi
                            1 at Manuka
                            1 at AAMI Stadium

                            Great draw IMO.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....
