I thought of that but decided the extra eight cans could just go into the brewery workers' daily beer allowance. (They still get those don't they?)Originally posted by j s
As 5000 is not divisible by 24 I would assume 5000 cases
Not a lot really. Of course the beer itself is the same - it's just the can.Comment

Sorry, I thought about this later - yes, I'm pretty certain they must mean 5000 slabs.Originally posted by j s

As for the comment about the beer being the same - ask yourself whether you'd like to drink Veuve from a crystal glass or a plastic cup? I think the analogy is directly relevant.Comment

Found some at Safeway Ferntree Gully
And it tastes better than normal.

Keep in mind that probably more than 50% of the special edition beer sold will be to non Swans fans who just want beer.
The only way the retailers get the special edition is if the order Carlton Draught in the right time frame and that is the stock they will recieve instead of the normal stock.
They can't request it, it's just what they get when they order.
So most people who buy it won't GAF and just drink it and throw the cans.
I'm saving a couple of unopened slabs for ebay

Finally!
Found some yesterday at Gladstone Park (North West Melbourne) was rapt as I didn't expect to find any left in Melbourne. Now who was saying they had saved their empty cans - You'd reckon the full slab could be worth something alot more one day - Only problem is I probably wouldn't sell - Someone else eventually would reap the benefits.Comment
