What do we get for Powell & Saddo ?

OK the Chambers deal is now stitched up

Lets now focus on what we can/should/might get for the 2 lads who asked to be traded ?

I would prefer draft picks rather than duds/rejects

Please no smart arse anwers like "maybe some Lucky Beans"

I am an accountant/teacher with no sense of humor Ha! Ha!

    Richards/someone Eade hates ?

    Bradley/Polak?stalker would be nice ???

Doubt if there would be much interest in Powell given that there hasn't been much interest shown in some of the more decorated, or well known players whose names have been put on the trade table by various clubs.

Powell's worth about as much as Scott Stevens was.
If we're lucky we might be able to upgrade Pick 51 to Pick 50.

... even Pick 49, but that would be a steal of Sheedy-esque proportions.

One who might be of interest is Pat Bowden from the Bulldogs

Tallish forward who is a good mark - seems to be on the outer with Eade at the moment, he got quite a good run under Peter Rhode

trading both together might bring one reasonable player looking for a change of culture. Someone tall, we dont need a 183 slow midfielder with an average kick

Otherwise im all for some draft picks.

Pat Bowden is rubbish. I wouldn't be surprised if ROK was traded for something though.

i bet we dont see any big trades, saddo and powell will go if they have asked, which i presume they have cos people have said so.

We probably wont get everitt and im sure okeefe will stay (or i hope at least). The actual trades are never as exciting as the speculation in trade week.

Okeefe for judd though id take that!

I'm with midaro on this one. Unfortunately Powell is virtually in the steak knives category... and Saddo is a frequently injured 26 y.o. fringe player.

If we were to get the Bulldog's pick 27 for the pair I would be happy. But then I think they are of depth value to us if they stay - guess we find out tomorrow.

Would like us to try and get involved in a trade for Dylan McLaren from the Lions.

Apparently the Saints are interested but I can't see what they would offer that we can't.

Saddo is like a younger version of Schaubs - injured one time to many and the team moved on without him. I'd love to see Saddo go somewhere that he can get a lot of game time. He has a lot to offer as a footballer but I don't think it will be at the Swans.

So, like Chambers and Jolly coming here, I hope we find a good trade for Saddo's sake.

Eeek Hack! Plus McLaren has stated he would only want to go down to Victoria.

You'd have to think that Saddo would have as much trade value as Chambers. Therefore a late 2nd round or 3rd round pick.
                          Powell substantially less.

If we got a decent 2nd round pick in exchange for both of them, its a good deal.

Ideally, we want to trade both for a young full back type with a bit of potential.

If we can't secure Ted Richards in this trade period, do you think it's possible that the club may do another Vogels and recruit a young mature aged fullback from the state leagues?

Podsiadly may get another shot with us?
